My daughter and I worked with a trainer this summer and into the fall with her.  It was us that slowed her down!  Boy is she good! She has the drive, the nose, she listens well, and she is just a lot of fun when she is free!  The minute we would turn into the training grounds she would get so excited she could hardly contain herself!  Emma and I would laugh watching her.  She has such a mellow side too.  In the house, she is content to go lay in her bed and watch what is happening around her. When I took her for her Cerf exam the eye vet gave me such a compliment.  She said " First of all, Cerfs are hard to do on any dog, but when she saw me come in with chocolate labs she thought 'Oh great!'." But much to her surprise she said "they were so well behaved and sat for the exam so well, very good training!".  I was so pleased, I thought I'd pass that on to my puppy people!
